African art and trade beads are a passion as well as a full time business. The artists, co-operatives, and African traders who supply us are an integral part of our business. We travel to Africa periodically to buy, but also have things shipped to us from there, and buy from 60-70 traders each year. We don't have a store---we are primarily wholesalers, selling to stores and galleries as well as collectors, through eBay and our website.

From the village of Usa River in north-central Tanzania, Gertrude Protas Kitia brings the ancient arts of Masai beadwork, batik fabric art, and basketry, crafted in both traditional and contemporary designs and techniques.
