Friends of Africa International supports effective and established foundations, research centers, and programs designed to preserve and protect African wildlife, environment, and culture from the constant threat of extinction. Through education, monetary contributions and hard work, it is the goal of Friends of Africa International to raise the awareness of the public to the plight of the African continent and to prevent what has at times appeared to be its inevitable devastation. We represent Save the Elephants, Bill Woodley Mount Kenya Trust and African Conservation Foundation by accepting donations on their behalf from US donors who wish to make a US tax-deductible donation to these organizations. We also sponsor local presentations on African culture and conservation issues.

We provide a way for donors to support conservation and environmental justice in places around the world often unreachable by normal philanthropic channels. With very low overhead we route small grants to start-up groups that can seed positive change from the ground up. All grant making decisions are made by an established network of advisors around the world, so GGF does not accept unsolicited grant proposals.
