Students and teachers at Alexander Dawson School chose Africa as the theme for a week-long session. Africa Centre provided coordination of a museum exhibit as well as helped identify performers, teachers, caterers, and other resources for the week. 
Teachers Lisa Wilson, Susan Cirella and Tommy Tibbitts brainstormed with the Africa Centre, to develop the schedule for the week of events and activities. Locals: Scott Griffith taught drumming classes; Boubacar Diabate performed and taught the students; and Love Hartt provided African food catering.
